In fierce rivalry, the consortium topped the offer that saw 11 bidders competing for this URA sales parcel. The success of the tender was attributed to the lack of landed construction locations on this size, analysts said.
Parkwood Collection Location
In Realty Park’s landed properties, straddling Hougang and Kovan. With a combination of private apartments, HDB flats and condominiums, and landed accommodation, this is set within a well-established suburban neighbourhood.
Unlike other landed estate, one of the best points of the Parkwood Collection position is that it is within walking distance of an MRT station and shopping malls. With all the regular neighborhood stores and food stalls, it is around a 10-minute walk from Hougang Town Centre.
Hougang Mall, which have restaurants and cafes, fast-food joints, NTUC Fairprice supermarkets, public library and various stores, is the largest shopping centre here.

Hougang Station is at Orchard Lane, Clarke Quay, Chinatown, and Harbourfront on the purple North-East line that residents can travel down to Dhoby Ghaut. At Outram, it intersects with the East-West MRT route, Little India ‘s Downtown line, and Serangoon station’s Circle line.
Phase 1 of the potential cross-island line (CRL1) has just been confirmed by LTA, and is expected to be finished by 2029. The positive news is that at this station it will cut via Hougang, intersecting the North-East route, so that Hougang will become an interchange station. Best still, the Cross-Island line station footprint is closest to the site of the Parkwood Set. The nearest entry to the station would then be just 300 metres, slightly over 4 minutes walk, south.
Holy Innocents Primary School is within 1 km of the Parkwood Selection site, actually diagonally across Serangoon Lane, less than 5 minutes from it. As well as being one of only 15 SAP schools in Singapore, Holy Innocents has a long history and is one of the most sought after schools.
Within 1 km, there are also other elementary schools: Xinmin Primary, Montfort Junior, CHIJ (Punggol). It is also within 2 km of Rosyth Primary School, but it is not really of much value as it is famously challenging even for those within the 1 km range to get into it.
