Knight Frank management team newly appointed members

Effective May 2020, Leonard Tay is the new head of research for Knight Frank. This coming August, Alice Tan will take over as the newly appointed head of consultancy for the same company.

These newly appointed heads open a new opportunity not only for them but also for the company. Knight Frank’s group managing director Wendy Tang mentioned that identifying new channels and further opportunities for the business is quite essential given the uncertainties happening worldwide which greatly affects the worldwide economy. Exploring different opportunities that may be further developed is crucial.

Leonard Tay has been working inside the actual property industry for 15 years giving him enough and proper experience. He held former senior roles for senior teams for both Colliers International and CBRE. Tay is proficient and an expert in consultancy advisory, cross-market research and tenancy administration. In May, he was appointed head of research.

Both the private and public sectors are in Tay’s portfolio. Private sectors like Ascendas-Singbridge, CapitaLand, Central Provident Board Fund, Overseas Union Enterprise and Standard Chartered Bank are just a few to mention. He also previously lectured at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on real estate subjects. He also taught at the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.

Alice Tan was at List Sotheby’s International Realty Singapore prior to the appointment that will take effect this coming August. She was the director for five months for Southeast Asia’s research and consulting. She also worked for Knight Frank for six golden years as the head of the research and consulting team.

She has more than 17 years of exceptional experience in the construction and real estate industry. With such superb experience, Alice Tan will be the Knight Frank’s consultancy team. The team will be responsible for master planning, feasibility studies, business and financial modelling.

This coming August, Alice Tan will rejoin Knight Frank and take over the real estate advisory, replacing the retiring real estate veteran Tay Kah Poh. Currently, Tan is the senior director of the research and consulting department at Edmund Tie.

With her many years of experience in the industry, she had provided service to private and public sectors. She provided services in hospitality, retail, residential, capital markets, and property asset management. Not only that, she also served in the industrial and office sectors as well.

Some of the advisory on her portfolio include the One-North Retail Master Plan, Sentosa-Brani Master Plan, Our Tampines Hub and the Thomson East Coast Line MRT Stations to name a few.
